Dmitry Egupov’s 2018 painting is a charming cityscape that transports the viewer to a European town with its narrow streets and distinctive buildings. Egupov skillfully captures the atmosphere of a peaceful day, where the sun casts gentle shadows on the facades of old timber-framed houses. The nuances in light and shadow demonstrate the artist's mastery of textures and perspective. The pastel tones and soft transitions enhance the feeling of a clear summer day, while the presence of a few figures strolling along the street adds life and movement to the scene. This work represents a harmonious blend of realism and impression, conveying the beauty of everyday life with artistic sensitivity.
